Abstract
Stand-up comedy, traditionally perceived as a means of entertainment and laughter, holds the power to showcase personal struggle, resilience, and transformative potential. This project delves into how stand-up comedy can be a tool for individuals to confront and conquer their fears by creating a documentary following individuals rehearsing and performing stand-up comedy for the first time. The analysis is grounded in the perspective that comedy and mental health are intricately linked.
