Abstract

The article discusses the insights of several English/Language Arts (ELA) teachers regarding the definition of teacher quality and evaluation in the U.S. It highlights the responses of three teachers, including a preservice, a novice and an experienced, which shared same thoughts about the problem in the country's teacher evaluation systems. It notes the importance of training and evaluation tools on the improvement of teacher's effectiveness.
