Abstract
The authors discuss the perspective of professor Alberto Maydeu-Olivares regarding the philosophical aspects of invariant measurement. They say that model-data fit reflects the correspondence's degree between expected and observed responses by people on a set of test items. They mention the questions in measurement theory for examining model-data fit such as is the model-data fit is enough for the test scores' intended usage.
