I constructed this piece of work with wood, acrylic paint and a special glue to adhere the library catalog cards. Knowing that this piece would be hung up on the library wall, I started to think what libraries mean to me and my family, especially my daughters. We love to read books, and quilts bring great comfort: so I decided to make a literary wall quilt. I used red paint because it compliments the libraries’ greenish-blue walls. The card catalogs were cut into geometric shapes and placed on pine wood to give the effect of quilt-like pattern.
